Shamanic Healing Training led by Laureen Rama Learn how to perform some of the most ancient and powerful healing practices known to humankind -- Soul Retrieval & Extraction! This course is unique because it covers both of these classic techniques, AND addresses how to run a healthy healing practice: e.g., caring for yourself as a healer, follow-up with clients, & working ethically with clients. This course is for people who want to do shamanic healing work for others. In this week-long course, you will:

Course Schedule: This will be an intense residential course. Generally, we will gather in the mornings for learning and practicing. The flow of the course will be that we will start with a review and grounding in shamanic practice and the theory behind shamanic healing. Then we will focus on learning extraction techniques and practicing doing extraction healing for a partner. Participants will then learn soul retrieval techniques and do soul retrieval healing for a partner. The focus will then shift to learning a follow-up process to use with clients to help them integrate their healing. Participants will experience this follow-up process themselves to integrate their own healing. How to work ethically with clients and run a healthy healing practice will be brought in throughout the course. There will be time for informal interaction with the instructors over meals, or during free time. The small size of the participant group will allow us to shift the schedule and the content to suit the energy and needs of the group. Educational Process: This course will involve learning by doing and experiencing healing. Each session will begin with some theory presentation and stories of practice. Then participants will do some kind of experiential work with coaching from the instructors. Each experience will be followed by participants sharing the story of their experience with the group and receiving feedback from the instructor(s). Although participants will learn structured techniques and processes, the instructor(s) will also facilitate participants finding their own best methods within shamanic healing practices. Laureen Rama will be leading the course and may be assisted by experienced healers. Prerequisites: As a participant, you are sincerely interested in offering shamanic healing to others, on a professional basis or for friends and family, either as a shamanic healer or as part of an existing therapy or healing practice. While receiving healing will be part of the course, it should not be your primary intention. (Note: if healing for yourself is what you want, please call Laureen to book individual healing sessions.) See healing process. You will know how to do Michael Harner-style core shamanic journeys. You will have developed solid connections with your power animals and spirit teachers, that is, you will know how to ask your spirit guides for help and how to follow their guidance. Please don't let this prerequisite discourage you. Arrangements can be made to teach you basic shamanic skills before the course. You are a mature, self-aware individual who knows how to care for yourself (including being able to ask for help!), since you will need to do so during this intense course. You will write and send in no more than 3 pages describing who you are, why you want to take the course, and what your biggest challenges with clients are, or what you anticipate they will be.
