Fire Ceremony Instructions
In the morning of the day the ceremony is held, identify a core belief that is blocking you. Often after we have new energies and are making new strides in our life we unbury new deep-seated core beliefs about what is possible for us that block us (eg. " you cannot be really good at anything because that will make others feel they're not as good as you and they won't like you." or "you can't have it all." These were blocks for me).
If you know how to shamanic journey, that is a great way to identify the block, it will take you far deeper than simple reflection, but you can use whatever method works for you to identify the block (eg. meditation, journalling, asking for a dream to answer the question).
When you journey or reflect, ask "What is a core belief or attitude that is blocking me from creating the life I want?" You can also ask "What is a core belief blocking me from . . . (a specific goal eg. from being in relationship)".
Once a block is identified make a burnable talisman that represents the block, of a size you can keep close to you all day, preferably on your person. Usually this means they need to be small, but one time I knew I would be working at my desk all day so I made a huge bouquet of dried flowers and grasses that I put on my desk. Examples of talismans are something you carve out of wood, make with cloth or simply a piece of paper with your blocking core belief written on it.
Spend time with your talisman understanding how that block affects your life (don't tell anyone what the core belief is until you have released it into the fire). LIVE OUT THE BELIEF ALL DAY!!! The more energy you put into living how the block affects you, the more you really understand it, the more it will go into the talisman and the more effectively you will release and transform it (like bringing a boil to a head).
We will meet in the evening at the fire to release our talismans. And celebrate afterwards!!!! (so bring a favorite snack or party drink if you wish)
Bring drums and rattles if you have them. Dress warmly in layers and prepared for rain/snow if it's forecasted. Wear shoes you can easily move in.
